Phoenix Granular Filter Cleaner

Descales and Degreases Cartridge Filters, D.E. Filters, and Sand Filters. Contains a color indicator to notify you when the product is completely dissolved. This product is great for use in Spring Openings, Winter Closings, and for Routine Maintenance. Keeps Filters in their best operating condition, keeping water clear. Be careful not to mix this product with other pool chemicals as dangerous reactions may occur. To use with D.E. Or cartridge filters, turn off the pump, close all valves, and drain all water from the filter.

Remove the filter cartridges or removable D.E. Elements and rinse with clean water. Add 1 pound of Granular Filter Cleaner solution per 5 gallons of warm water in a clean plastic pale. Stir with a wooden or plastic spoon until the solution turns bright red and the product is completely dissolved. Place the cartridges or D.E. Elements in a bucket to soak overnight, remove from solution, drain, and rinse thoroughly. Allow cartridges to completely dry before replacing in the filter system. For use with Sand filters and Non-Removable Elements, make enough solution to cover filter media by dissolving 1 lb of Granular Filter Cleaner per 5 gallons of warm water in a clean plastic bucket. Always add product to water, Never add water to product. Backwash filter, drain water from filter and close drain valve. Open top of filter and pour in premixed solution until the top of the sand is covered. Let soak overnight, backwash the filter until water is coming from backwash line is clear.
